Top of the table clash

A tricky top of the table clash loomed as we headed into the festive season. With a bare 11 facing formidable opposition, we knew this was going to be a hard game, but would likely come down to who was mentally toughest. We started strong after a good warm up and motivating team talk and played some of our best hockey so far. They are a strong team and got the first goal. This was all the motivation we needed and soon got one back. It was then a tense battle until the final whistle as to who could hold their nerve. Not the result we wanted or needed but still filled us with confidence that we could turn up the heat when it mattered.
