On behalf of the 2009-2010 committee I'd like to welcome everyone to the new hockey season. 

Pre-season Training starts on Tuesday August 4th and Thursday August 6th. 
Don't forget that training nights have been switched as per the agreement at the AGM.  Mens 1/2 & Ladies 1/2 training on Tuesdays from 8pm (pitch from 8.30pm) and all other teams on Thursdays. 

Trials Day - Trials forms a key part of the pre-season activities.  Please make every effort to attend trials and if you are an existing member and know you cannot make it but are intending to play this coming season then please let either Nirpal or Jen know ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Trials will be held on Saturday August 22nd 2009 at John Orwell Sports Centre, Wapping 

Men's Trials
Registration: 10 am
Trials: 10.30 am - 13.00 

Ladies Trials
Registration: 13.00
Trials: 13:30 - 16:00
Please bring a white and dark shirt preferably with a number or name on the back 

Hog Roast in the garden at Turners Old Star, Tench Street Wapping from 5pm.Cost: £5 payable at registration.

Subs: This year subs are set at £200 for full members, with an Early Payment Discount of £20 available to existing members who pay prior to end of August. Student/unemployed are £140 with the same early payment discount. Existing members should pay prior to the end of August in order to guarantee their place in the club. 

After this date new players will be invited to join the club (space permitting) and will need to pay prior to the end of September to guarantee the Early Payment Discount.  Existing members wishing to setup a payment plan should do this prior to end of August by contacting Stacey on This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Subs should be paid by account transfer to the main club account (details of this will soon be available on the private section of the website) with a confirmation email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or by cheque, made payable to Wapping Hockey Club and handed to Nirpal, Jen or Stacey.  Please do not give cheques to other committee members.
