Our friends at East End Life feature one of our coaches (England goalie Maddie Hinch) and our new beverages in this back page article, which we reproduce with their kind permission. We've also put some links at the bottom to other recent press coverage.

Wapping beer to be sold at EuroHockey Championship and in local pubs... with profits used to boost the sport locally
WAPPING Hockey Club will get recognition on Friday that their new home is an international centre for their sport. For ten days they will vacate Lee Valley Hockey & Tennis Centre in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to make way for Europe’s elite in the first EuroHockey Championship at this venue.
But while Wapping won’t be playing at the stadium during that time (England & Great Britain goalkeeper Maddie Hinch excepted) they will have a presence behind the bar in the form of their very own beer.
The ever-innovative club has produced three brews for sale at the stadium and in various pubs in Tower Hamlets, including their ‘clubhouse’, The Cape, at St Katharine Docks. And what’s more, brand profits will be poured into grassroots hockey in Tower Hamlets, with the action centred around the John Orwell Sports Centre in Wapping.
Ambitious club chairman Stuart Burnside said: “We will benefit financially from the European championships because we will launch our own beer brands at the event. It will be on tap throughout the event, at the club during the season and at selected local pubs.”
He said the money would help fulfil part of the Olympic Legacy.
“The Olympics were all about inspiration and so too is the legacy,” Stuart told East End Life. “More and more people in Tower Hamlets are choosing to pick up a stick and play. Hockey is the most gender balanced sport in the country and it has been particularly noticeable how many couples signed up for free beginner sessions at Wapping this summer. These new players can now watch the Euros knowing they will play on that same pitch."
“When the imminent relaying of the John Orwell Centre completes, we will be able to start training tomorrow’s Olympians, inspired by today's."
“We are determined to invest in making Tower Hamlets synonymous with first class hockey."
“Not only will the Euros help finance our grassroots delivery in Tower Hamlets, they help us market the club internationally, ensuring we continue to attract the best coaches.”

and we also feature in Your Local Guardian http://www.guardian-series.co.uk/news/13609070.Olympic_Park_to_offer_London_s_first__hockey_beer_/ with a bottle of Gold casually hanging out on the stadium pitch whilst the men crack on with the Spanish Test in the background.
It goes without saying we are incredibly grateful to our media partners for this coverage.
