Wapping Hockey Club

The first round of the Wapping Corporate Summer League has now been completed. This year we have 16 mixed teams from across the City competing for the Summer League title with games being played Monday to Thursday nights at John Orwell in Wapping. There has been some very competitive hockey played with most of the first round finishing positions coming down to the last game in each group. Particular congratulations go to KPMG, Bank of England, JP Morgan and Wapping 1s, all of whom topped their respective groups, and also to Stephen Quincey of Barclays who is the current top scorer in the League.

All 16 teams now move onto the second round of fixtures, each playing three more games between 18 June and 27 July to decide the title.

We'll then be taking a break for the Olympics but will be returning with more social hockey at the Summer League 6s tournament on 13 August followed closely by the Summer League dinner on 16 August.
