Ailis is such a flirt!
The squad set up for their second match of the evening, hoping to have a better result than the game against Upminster. First push back was slightly delayed whilst Ailis was busy distracting the umpires with her flirty banter. The opposition (Bishop Stortford) looked a little puffed out from their earlier match (which had been a tough one), but luckily for us, this meant that we could capitalise upon this. Fran had an absolute stormer of a match demonstrating some impressive individual skills - claiming all five Wapping goals. Georgia created all sorts of problems for the opposition, feeding Fran some quality passes, and was unlucky not to have added to the score line herself. Billsy stayed in defence, having failed to convert two open goals from the earlier game, and spent quite a lot of time trying to avoid conceding penalty corners via her feet.Bishop Stortford found their second wind ten minutes before the end of the first half, and although they scored three goals, Ailis managed to keep Wapping in the lead through some quality goal keeping skills. She also stakes an "assist" to one of Fran's goals, via a well timed and placed save straight to Fran at the top of the opposition D, where Fran converted into a goal.
So what about Mel? Did she play in the same consistent manner as the first match??? Did she f*ck!
Man of Match Mel was amazing in this game. To be honest - the rest of us didn't need to be there... well maybe Ailis to continue to chat up the umpires. Mel was dominant at left back, breaking down the majority of the attacking opposition play, and bouncing the ball back to Fran and Georgia delightfully via the boards.
The squad quickly dashed to try and catch the last trains home. Fran wins the competition for arriving home last at 12:40am.
