Welcome to the Ballet
After performing a brilliant orchestra piece in the final match, it was time to show our ballet skills. Six started us off with a wonderful leap/face-plant into the walls of the hall, instead of getting the ball. Next, she tried to show us some lifting of other players, but accidentally (or on purpose?) took out a member of the other team. It seemed they had no subs to replace the injured player, and unfortunately had to complete the match with a player less than normal.
The ballet continued with an amazing solo performance; Babs showed us how it should really be done. The ball came to her with absolutely no-one around her, and she not only missed it, but also tripped over her own feet to do a spectacular fall to the ground.
There was some hockey played at some point, and we appeared to be scoring lots of goals. Mel had three tries in a row to try and get her name on the score sheet, but it seemed it was not to be her night. Unfortunately, I completely forgot to pay attention to the rest of our game, as the men's game next to us broke out into a fight and a flurry of red cards. I believe the ball passed me once, and we scored quite a few times... anyway, I have been informed the final score was 8-1, meaning we had finished our indoor season with a massive win!
P.s. I've been forced to say that I too tripped over whilst walking to Bab's car on the way there, but her fall was much much much funnier.
