No horrors on Halloween
Any win is a good one...
On a run of back to back wins, the M7s headed to Waltham Forest with confidence high.
On an unseasonably warm and sunny mmorning, Wapping pushed hard at the start. Chances came and Waltham were lucky to be saved by the post as their keeper managed to get just enough onto a solid shot to keep it out.
With the game camped in their goal, the pressure finally resulted in a great cross and a back post tap in by Mayank.
However this did not spur the team on to greater things, and Wapping prprogressively lost control ending the half fighting off consistent attacks in their own half. The second half started brightly again for Wapping, but this was punctuated by an equaliser from Forest levelling the scores. However Wapping responded quickly, with a fine solo effort from Sam Peel, working through several defenders before firinfiring hard across the keeper into the far sideside of the goal.
Unfortunately Wapping again lost their control and Forest were again back in the game towards the end of the second half, managing a second equaliser.
The game seemed to be heading towards a draw, but with 2minutes to go, Giles struck in the winner from an untidy scramble around the dee. On balance probably a deserved win, but not in the convincing manner of the last two games.
