Return of the Judas syndrome

5 years ago By Stephen MacIntyre

In a remarkable turn of events, Wapping has been struck by the Judas syndrome for a second year in succession.

The previously "proud" owner of the "Judas award" was held by the one and only (thank goodness) Stuart Nelson.

Now however, in possibly the first real indication of a new disease that could spread like wildfire at any moment, M7 stalwart, Man of the Season (2011-12) and all round nice guy Pritpal Sagoo has left the club to join those (thieving gipos) lovely people at Redbridge.

This is clearly a direct result of the humiliation he heaped on their entire team, back in September, when we cunningly left them totally unmarked on numerous occasions to allow Pritpal to get a better round of shooting practice than we normally give him in the pre-match warm up. So deep was their fear that even a penalty flick could only amble morosely towards goal, quivering in anticipation of the kicking it would get once in range.

Sadly, this leaves me with no choice but to declare open season on Pritpal "Judas" Sagoo, especially after his desperate plea to be known as Pritpal "The Great" Sagoo in a, quite frankly, pathetic attempt to be remembered fondly. However, he does have a point since he probably, single handedly kept the M7 from being relegated last season.

So, from now on, he will be known as Pritpal "The Great Judas" Sagoo.

RIP Pritpal (stands for Redbridge & Ilford Player), you will be remembered for saving shots left, right, centre and overhead (not tricky considering your stature). You will be remembered as the man who had his car towed away from St. Pauls Way School on that ill-fated, Romford cursed, day last year. You will be remembered for always being up for a laugh and the social side of all things Wapping. You will be remembered for the many MoM awards (7 from 16 games!!) and the 1 DoD award - your car was towed, no one else could ever have won that day!! But most of all, you will be remembered for being a thoroughly decent chap, liked by all.

Farewell Pritpal "The Great Judas" Sagoo. See you anon!
